Gamze Yalçin

Born in Turkey in 1987, Gamze Yalçın holds a degree from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul and is currently based in Madrid. Her work has been exhibited extensively across Turkey, Spain, Germany, and Italy.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Yalçın works across a wide range of supports — from traditional canvas to building facades, paper, and sailcloth.
Drawing forms the core of her practice. Her creative process begins with the chance observation of everyday textures and organic shapes. Filtered through her personal sensibility, these visual motifs are translated into dynamic pictorial compositions.

Echoing 20th-century avant-garde movements — particularly Fauvism —, Yalçın bridges these historical references with an intuitive, expressive gesture. The fluid, sensual flow of her color palette captures a poetic vision of the present, offering an immersive, meditative space within dreamlike landscapes.
