'SWAB - Barcelona, 2024'

'Morrow(s)'
with works by Flore Saunois, Alice Magne & Alexandre Zhu
Flore Saunois (1987), Alice Magne (1998) and Alexandre Zhu (1993) are sharing a poetic approach to a hypothetical future.
They are anticipating the scenarios of tomorrow's world with their own sensibilities, while using quite different artistic processes.
In her work, Alice Magne is getting rid of brushes and any kind of chemical paints; only flowers are used to create a painting.
Diving into Alexandre Zhu’s drawings offers a meditative immersion in an uncertain future world as his advertising billboards are emptied of their content.
Appearance and disappearance is also a key theme in the delicate work of Flore Saunois who explores the materiality of language through her conceptual installations.
Gathered in an experimental space here in Barcelona, the exhibited works are soaking up each other.
Different narratives are emerging from that artistic encounter but only one promise remains: tomorrow will never be the same.
